Shopping Curitiba
Übersicht
O imóvel que abriga o Shopping é do século XIX. Durante muito tempo, foi a sede do Comando da 5ª Região Militar do Exército Brasileiro. O projeto, de 1886, seguiu os parâmetros do estilo militar da época: linhas retas, detalhes em semiarcos e grandes janelas para permitir a iluminação da área interna.
Em 1989, o imóvel foi vendido pelo Exército e, em 1996, 110 anos depois de sua concepção, o edifício se transformou no Shopping Curitiba. A preservação de elementos característicos, como o mastro para bandeira, o brasão e o gradil da sacada, faz do prédio uma atração à parte.
