Back Forty, a new American restaurant in Alphabet City, refers to a farming practice of reserving a section of land to keep wildlife to help cultivate crops. Chef Peter Hoffman portrays this conscious food movement  through carefully sourced products from sustainable and animal cruelty free. Back Forty has a barnyard cozy feel, with recycled pine tables, old farm tool decorations, and an informal backyard.
