SoraePogu
Overview
Sorepogu is a fishing port that is located in west coast in Nonhyun-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon. As it is in the southeastern part of Incheon Metropolitan city, there are a lot of fish markets, aquatic products shops, and sushi shops. During the Japanese colonial era, it was used as a base for exploitation of salt and fishery as it was the first time to produce fish and shellfish under a small scale. Until now it has popular traditional fishery market that has fresh products.
Soraepogu had a conflagration that fired about 220 stalls and 20 shops in 18th, March, 2017. 2/3 of stall shops located in shoreline has been burnt up, and now it is planning to construct Soraepogu again with modernization.
