沙鹿運動公園台中縣擁有夜間照明運動場所之一，故常常舉辦各樣運動賽事，如：鎮長盃慢壘球，縣運棒球賽，老人槌球…等活動。球場周圍是屬沙鹿郊區，住戶較少，且交通是最大優勢，鄰接中興路、龍井交流道，並鄰近台中港區、中科。冀望提供優良的運動場地，使全民有健美的身心，且藉由各樣活動的舉辦，讓居民生透過運動彼此交流，亦提升生活品質，以充分發揮運動場地之功能。

Shalu Sport Park is the one of the sport fields with night lighting. All kinds of sport events are often held in the park, such as slow softball, baseball, and elderly croquet, etc. There is a suburb adjacent to the park with fewer residences. Convenient traffic is the biggest advantage of this area, adjacent to Zhongxing Rd, Longjing Intersection and near Taichung Port District and CTSP. By providing a great sports field, the township government anticipates that the local people could have a healthy body and mind. By holding all kinds of activities, local people could exchange ideas through sport, enhance life quality, and fully make use of the sport field.
