66 Eighth Avenue
Edwardian Style
Built in the early 1900s, the house is covered by natural wood shingles. Its spacious porch with mahogany railings, eleven white columns, and spectacular views of the harbor. On three floors, there are 54 windows and 15 rooms. Fieldstone steps lead up the high bank from Eighth Avenue to the formal front of the house. but the functioning entry today is above, from Prospect Avenue.

The houses at 66, 74, and 78 Eight Avenue stand on high embankments above Eighth Avenue. This height, their considerable size and their distinctive architecture and coloring combine to make an impressive and interesting row of historic residences.
