Bliss Brook
Vue d'ensemble
Bliss Brook runs behind the University Meadows student apartment complex. It is a small branch at the head of the Engelholm Stream watershed. It drains part of St. Vincent Park, University of Missouri - St. Louis south campus, and a Bel Nor subdivision. It tends to be a permanent stream and subject to rapid peak flows during rain events. The water quality is fair and may be suitable to maintain a community of amphibians. The brook supports a population of burrowing crayfish. The brook is not monitored by a MO stream team and limited water quality and macrobiotic population reports are available. The brook was recently named after the dean of the UMSL's Honors college.
