To promote the industrial heritage of the area, the geological interest within the Ochils and Carselands, and the wealth that was once experienced by the founders of the mining industry in Clackmannanshire. The Partnership would like to highlight the importance of this industry and its links to the cultural heritage of the area. Improving the appearance of the remaining entrances to some of the mines in particular by removing overgrown species around them. This project links with proposed improvements in the Glens, as many of the more profitable mines were located there. A geological features pubication is intended, details the minerals found, how they came to be there and the methods of extraction.
