Fencepiration
Overview
Fencepiration is a temporary public art project that repurposes used aluminum cans and plastic bags to enliven a .2-mile long construction fence during the multi-year construction process of a new mixed-use development. With the support of Whole Foods, The Coral Company, and small businesses on the street, Heights Arts has enlisted artists Carol Hummel and Debbie Apple Presser to transform the utilitarian construction fence into a visually interesting, inspiring, and attractive streetscape element. Donations of clean used cans and plastic bags of any color can be dropped of at Heights Arts Gallery, 2173 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Workshops are being held to help prepare materials for the artists. Call 216.371.3457 for more information, or email heightsarts@heightsarts.org. The materials will, of course, be recycled upon completion.
