Canal of Corinth
Overview
The Canal of Corinth connects the Sarconic Gulf in the Aegean Sea with the Gulf of Corinth. It was built between 1881 and 1893. It 6.3 km long and 10 m wide. The water in the canal is 8 meters deep. Nowadays, the canal is used mostly by tourist ships. (-Michaela Aquino)
