Able Industries only uses non-toxic "Green Seal Certified" cleaning chemicals. Able Industries was the recipient of the 2008 Broome County Green Business Initiative for this environmentally-friendly program.
Able Industries Inc. is a sister company to the Sheltered Workshop for the Disabled. Since 2004, Able Industries was created to facilitate set-a-side contracts and to employ severely handicapped individuals who need more support, and who would benefit from working in a structured program. Through these contracts, Able Industries Inc. seeks to help severely handicapped persons to develop and improve their interpersonal, social, and employment skills, to help enhance their self-esteem, to encourage and increase their self-reliance, and to increase their overall independence.
