The Botanical Garden is located in a native cerrado reservation area of 5 thousand hectares, making its area the largest in the world. It is home to native cerrado fauna and flora, including endangered species.
It features a medicinal plant garden, with 100 species of native herbs, research information center,a school of environmental education, panoramic outlook, ecological path, amphitheater, orchid garden, a 4 thousand meter long track for walks or jogging and an outdoor ecological library. Differently from most botanical gardens, it contains only native vegetation.
The Garden offers visitors guided tours for groups of 10 or more. Call (61) 3366-1438 for reservations.
Hours: Tuesdays to Sundays, from 9am to 5pm.
Admission: R$ 2. Free for children under 10 and seniors.
