The Sustainable Swansea initiative was established in 2004 and aims to help make Swansea to be a more sustainable place to live, work, and visit.
Sustainable Swansea is made up of a number of key projects;
• The Swansea Green Map - highlights over 300 resources that will help you choose more sustainable ways of living. The Green Map is available as a leaflet and is being developed as interactive web based tool.
• Digital Media Project - working with communities to deliver environmentally themed ICT training, and create local Green Maps
• Swansea Sustainability Trail - Showcases examples of good practice around Swansea of sustainability in action! Group and school visits can be arranged.
• Sustainable Swansea Awards Scheme - Recognises, rewards and promotes the achievements of local organisations, groups and individuals that have made an active commitment to good environmental practice and sustainable development.
• The Swansea Bay Alternative Travel Map - An essential companion to help you get out and about in Swansea without your car!
