Overview
20 mile trail from salt marsh to sandy beach within the Croatan National Forest - the only coastal national forest in the US. Part of the Mountains to Sea trail. Shelters; grills; rough camping; hunting Oct - Dec. Boardwalks built by Carteret County Wildlife Club. This is the northern trail head. Southern trailhead: from Mill Creek Rd. (SR 1154), make right on unpaved forest road 181 (Oyster Pt Rd) and go 1.7 mi
