"Bright Palms" Mosaic by Joyce Scott
Overview
The Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory & Botanic Gardens Entry Plaza Mosaic, titled "Bright Palms” and designed by Baltimore artist Joyce J. Scott, has imagery drawn from Druid Hill Park history. Brightly colored tiles depict symbolic references to palm leaves from the Conservatory’s iconic Palm House, the tree stands of the Park, and the herd of sheep that grazed the Park to keep the grasses mowed.
