Gugu Dlamini Park is an open space in central Durban. To mark the World AIDS Conference being held in Durban in 2000, the AIDS Ribbon was added to the mosaic fountain, a fixture of the park since 1992. The park was renamed in 2000 to honour Gugu Dlamini, a woman from KwaMashu who was brutally murdered for revealing her HIV-positive status.
