Overview

Action for Change (Scotland) Ltd is the first Affiliate for the Earth Charter in Scotland.

This year our focus is working with principle 7
Adopt patterns of production, consumption and reproduction that safeguard Earth's regenerative capacities, human rights, and community well being.

Simply Local Kincardine is our grassroots project to lower the carbon footprint of our village through people taking individual action, like walking more, recycling more or using low enery lightbulbs. We have a local growing spaces project underway with plans for a community garden based on vermiculture principles. By creating our own worm cast enriched soil through hot box composting, keeping a healthy wormery and using basaltic rock dust we will remineralise the food chain and produce local, seasonal food, grown by local people and enjoyed locally too!
