Brooklyn Public Library
Overview
The branch of the Brooklyn Public Library located in Dyker Heights, has been part of the community for the past twenty-three years. The Library is located on 82nd street and 13th ave, in the midst of a hectic commercial street. It is surrounded by grocery stores, bakeries, a post office and a junior high school. The library provides volunteer opportunities for everyone who's interested in library science or needs community service hours. You can volunteer using the online application or via mail by visiting http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/support/volunteer/. The library is both child and senior friendly, with public parking and bike racks. It offers adult and child areas, with computers in each. Dyker Height's Public Library can be reached by taking either the D or M train to 86th street and then transferring to the B1. The library is open most days until 6 or 8 PM, so feel free to stop by.
