Overview

Designed in the Italian Renaissance Revival style by William Schickel, Immaculate Conception Church was modeled after St. Paul’s Outside the Walls Church in Rome. Completed in 1908, the church features a bell tower, an ornate loggia, and exquisite classical details executed in terra cotta and limestone.
In addition to daily worship services, the church supports many social outreach programs and community social events, such as the Montclair “First Night” festivities.
The Immaculate Conception Church has been on New Jersey's State Register of Historic Places since September 1986.
