Watchung Avenue Station is a stop on the Montclair-Boonton line. Passengers can board trains to New York and Hoboken. There are parking spots and bike racks for commuters. Built in 1904, this renaissance style building is listed on both the National and State Registers of Historic Places. The station was originally known as Park St.. In recent years, the name was changed to Watchung Avenue as being more accurately descriptive of its location. Watchung is an Indian word signifying (Wat) first (chung) mountain.
