Overview
A Biblioteca Pública do Paraná foi criada pelo Vice-Presidente da Província, José Antônio Vaz de Carvalhaes, em 7 de março de 1857.
Instalada na atual sede desde 19 de dezembro de 1954, foi inaugurada no Governo de Bento Munhoz da Rocha Netto, como parte das comemorações do Centenário da Emancipação Política do Paraná.
De livre acesso, o seu atendimento se estende a toda a comunidade.
