Kimmel Center
Overview
Comprised of Verizon Hall and the Perelman Theater, the Kimmel Center is home to the Philadelphia Orchestra, Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and Philadanco. Unlike some of the more traditional cultural buildings in Philadelphia, Verizon Hall is a feat of modern architecture and engineering and was designed to be acoustically perfect. This resulted in a breathtaking auditorium. Tours are offered daily at 1pm, and best of all, they are free of charge.
