This is a CSA-hybrid that provides fresh foods- vegetables, root crops, greens, etc. to Earlham students.
David Reed utilizes conscientious agricultural methods to provide fresh vegetables to Earlham students. His agriculture method operates under the belief that, in order to be be growing sustainably, you must take care of the soil, meaning: you must put in what you take out... there can't be an imbalance of input and output.
Reed utilizes a CSA-hybrid model which allows individuals to have some personal choice in terms of weekly purchase. Rather than paying a flat rate for the whole winter season, each person may decide on a weekly basis whether they wish to pay for and receive vegetables the following week.
