Rosella Park is named after the well-known brightly coloured native parrot. Rosella’s were named in this area as the noisy birds were reported to frequent the district. Locals called the birds 'Rose Hillers' after the suburb ‘Rosehill’ (as Parramatta was originally known), and in time the words slid together to become Rosellas. The popular park has the following facilities:

* Children’s playground
* Seating
* Picnic facilities

There is no disabled access from Les Burnett the main entrance, but access from the side streets.
