Not only are Baby Boot Camp & Karna Fitness inspiring change through fitness and nutrition, we are on a mission to improve the health of our earth for future generations. In September 2012, Baby Boot Camp & Karna Fitness announced a new Green Initiative Program dedicated to lessening the environmental impact of our business, encouraging recycling efforts, energy conservation and park renewal at each of our more than 500 class locations across the country. Whether it’s signing up for a first class to improve fitness, trying our StrollerFriends program to promote community or picking up trash to better our environment, Baby Boot Camp & Karna Fitness want to inspire change.

Baby Boot Camp® was created in San Francisco in 2001 by Kristen Horler to balance the fitness needs of new moms with their desire to spend time with their babies. Horler released a second franchise brand, Karna Fitness, in 2010, delivering private, small group training for women. For more information or to find the nearest location, visit babybootcamp.com and karnafitness.com.
As a Green Business Partner, Baby Boot Camp implements a number of environmentally responsible practices and measures including, but not limited to; office paper waste reduction, purchasing products with recycled content, using low VOC cleaners, setting energy-saving settings on electronics, and promoting carpool, vanpool, public transit use, and walk and bike to work options.

Baby Boot Camp became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 2012. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County.
