Pwll Du Cliffs stand between Pwll Du Bay and Brandy Cove to the south of the beautiful Gower coast. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coast, it is mainly a narrow strip of cliff top and the sloping cliff face but an amazing walk none the less. The Cliffs have many significant natural features and stunning views of the Gower coastline. Pwll Du beach below has one of the safest bathing environments on the peninsula. Habitats include limestone grassland, maritime cliffs and scrub. Grazing and control of scrub and bracken maintain the grassland habitat. This helps deliver UK Biodiversity Action Plan targets as well as providing a practical demonstration of the principles of sustainable development.

It is open all year round with 2 public rights of way cross the site. Paths on the eastern site are part of a larger circular walk and there is a bridleway for riders.

Further Information
To be considered as a Local Nature Reserve, the land in question has to have natural features of special interest to the local area. LNR's help protect biodiversity, but also help to forge links between the community and their natural surroundings, creating a learning enviornment for everyone.
