Europos parką įkūrė skulptorius Gintaras Karosas (g. 1968). 1987 metais jis surado tinkamą vietą parkui kurti šalia Vilniaus ir pradėjo valyti apleistą mišką, o 1991 metais pastatė pirmąją skulptūrą, žyminčią Europos parko pradžią. Nuo 1993 metų čia organizuojami tarptautiniai skulptūros simpoziumai. 1996 metais pastatyta žymaus konceptualisto Denniso Oppenheimo skulptūra atvėrė kelią į Europos parką kitiems moderniosios skulptūros klasikams. Dabar 55 ha plote eksponuojama daugiau kaip 90 meno kūrinių, jų autoriai – 29 pasaulio šalių menininkai. Muziejus kuriamas kaip vientisas gamtos ir meno kūrinių ansamblis. Kraštovaizdį formuoja Gintaras Karosas. Nuolatinę modernaus meno ekspoziciją turintis Europos parkas specialistų laikomas vienu iš įdomiausių muziejų po atviru dangumi pasaulyje.

The park was founded by sculptor Gintaras Karosas (b. 1968). In 1987 he found a suitable location near the park in Vilnius and began to clean an abandoned forest in 1991 and built the first sculpture, indicating the beginning of the park. Since 1993, there are organized international sculpture symposiums. In 1996, built the famous conceptualist Dennis Oppenheim sculpture opened the way to the park to other classics of modern sculpture. Now, 55 hectares, more than 90 exhibits of art works and their authors - 29 world artists. The museum is created as a piece of nature and art ensemble. The landscape is formed by Gintaras Karosas. Permanent exhibition of modern art with professionals in the Park is considered one of the most exciting open-air museums in the world.
