#8 Streetcar Path
このサイトについて
The #8 Streetcar Path was restored by the Old Catonsville Neighborhood Association in 1996. This 1/3 mile woodland trail features a full size mural of a streetcar, a restored 1939 Waiting Station and numerous historical markers. The rich history of the trail is featured in plaques, murals and wayside exhibits. This recreational trail is a favorite of runners, bikers and residents, who can now safely walk to the Village and Catonsville Junction commercial districts. Bike lane on Edmondson Ave. connects this trail to the #9 Trolley Trail which goes to historic Ellicott City. Catonsville Rails To Trails took stewardship of the trail in 1999. Look for the bat houses (installed as an Eagle Scout Project of John Jacob) which are located on tall straight trees behind the houses that border the trail.
