This GreenMap was created by a partnership between the Easton Environmental Advisory Council and the Mapping Urban Ecology course (Dr. Bonnie Winfield) of Lafayette College, Easton, PA. It identifies bike trails, pedestrian urban walking trails, greenways, parks, scenic views and by-ways, waterways, transportation facilities, enviromental amenities, green businesses, sustainable practices and other features, and regional linkages between these elements. It is designed as a method of public education about these features and as a tool for navigation.
The City of Easton is beautifully situated at the confluence of two rivers, the Lehigh River and the Delaware River, the last undammed river east of the Mississippi River. The population within the City limits is approximately 26,000; Easton is part of the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA-NJ MSA approximately 800,000.
