Die Waldjugend Hamburg errichtet im Forst Süderelbe in Absprache mit dem örtlichen Förster eine Totholzpyramide. An geeigneter Stelle werden von den Mitgliedern der Waldjugend Hamburg 2-3 Festmeter Eichenrundholz zu verschiedenen Längen eingegraben, sodass sich optisch eine Holzpyramide ergibt. Die Eichenholzpyramide unterstützt die Wiederansiedlung des Hirschkäfers und dient nebenbei auch vielen anderen Waldbewohnern als Nahrungsgrundlage und Unterschlupf.
