Mi Candileja is a small Spanish and American Food restaurant that caters for all occasions and has the best roasted chicken in Coney Island, along with other tasty cuisines. Instead of eating overpriced hotdogs, burgers, and fries at Nathans or greasy food from the boardwalk, Mi Candileja offers large home cooked portions of food at very reasonable prices. Among the tasty cuisines are rice and gandules or rice and beans, roast pork, mofongo, beef and chicken stew as well as fried green or sweet plantains. Dinner prices range from $14.00 to $7.50 or less while lunches are priced at $6.50. They even have 6 combination specials that come with your choice of meat, large rice, beans, plantains and salad with a free 2 liter bottle of soda that ranges from $17.00 to $19.00.
