Each fall and winter, bald eagles can be seen congregating along the Squamish River in Brackendale. Eagles depend on the salmon runs of the river and nearby creeks in order to survive the winter. Depleted salmon populations, loss of forested habitat due to development and increased human activity all pose a threat to eagles' survival. Volunteer interpreters are on-site at the Eagle Run on weekends, 9:30am-3:30pm, November – February. www.naturesquamish.ca
