Overview
How can being a member of a Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) be beneficial?
Managed by representatives of voluntary and community groups, it offers an independent voice.
CVS can provide training and support to groups.
Member groups can get help and advice with funding, equipment and premises.
Voluntary and community groups' views will be represented to the local authority and other agencies.
Most areas of Scotland have a Council for Voluntary Services. In Clackmannanshire, representatives of voluntary and community groups, Clackmannanshire Council and Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley formed a steering group and created one.
