Rezumat
京都で最も古い神社のひとつ、下鴨神社は世界遺産です。緑うっそうとした広大な糺の森（ただすのもり）は、京都の元からある植生に近く、保存会も固有種の植樹で保存に心がけています。葵祭り、やぶさめ、御手洗祭りを始め、年間を通して雅な祭りが行われ、京都市民の憩いの場所です。わきの川合神社には、方丈記で有名な鴨長明の庵が復元してあります。よく、時代劇のロケ地にも使われています。
