Eddyside holds one of my fondest memories of my childhood in Easton
It is where we spend out Summer days and learned to swin with Joe Marhefka's swimming classes.
The snack bar was close by for cold soda pop, and pretzels. We had metal swings and bars to climb on. And, best of all, we had rafts to sit on and watch everyone having a great time. There was a long pier with a diving board at the end. And often, we had canoe visitors stop by on their way down the Delaware River.
What does it hold for the kids these days?

Not a recreation area by any stretch of the imagination! A good place to sit in the shade and watch the cars go by.
A wide open area with a lot to offer. The towering trees make this an enchanting place to explore. Great for young children because of the playground equipment. For those who need a little more space to run around there is a large grassy section of the hill that is just perfect!
Signs displayed throughout the grounds prohibit the use of bikes, skateboards, or scooters on the cemetery's paved paths.
This park also is known by the name of Van Dyke Park, with amenities that include basketball courts, a tot lot, and a small pavilion. It is a great location for children and athletes.
