My mother, who just passed away at the age of 92, recorded in her memory book of her visits to Mother's Garden. She said there were "roses galore" and it was a favorite place to visit, especially on Sunday afternoons. Sounds like she would have been visiting there when it was still "new".
There is outdoor gym equipment scattered around the walking/biking course, making it a great place to work out!
Love this place!
Charmington's is a great little neighborhood coffee-shop and cafe, the perfect change of scenery for an overworked student needing a caffeinated pick-me-up. My roommates and I go there fairly frequently, armed with our laptops and books. There's free wi-fi (except for one hour during lunch), tables and chairs, and some plush couches. The coffee is great, though I'm actually partial to the chai. Check it out!
The new mosaic at the front of the school is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This may be my new favorite place to get books!
It reaffirms people's belief in the goodness of their fellow city-dwellers and saves money and paper by allowing people to enjoy someone else's old book rather than purchase a new copy.
