Value Through Reuse
Ecostores is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit under the umbrella of the Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Communities and can accept tax deductible donations from homeowners, landlords and construction companies. EcoStores Nebraska sells second-use materials, either previously owned materials donated by citizens and local businesses or incorrectly ordered items donated by contractors. These materials, normally destined for the landfill, come to EcoStores Nebraska for a second life--to be used as intended or to be re-purposed as something else.

Mission
Eco Products & Services Center's mission is to reduce waste and increase energy efficiency by making the process of researching, locating and selecting green products and services more convenient for consumers.

EcoStores Nebraska creates value through the reuse of building materials resulting in a variety of benefits for the environment, the City of Lincoln and the surrounding communities.

Sustainability
Since 2004, 688 tons of materials have
been diverted from landfills.

Good Quality - Low Cost Materials
All materials are sold at 50% less or more than the retail price.

Donated Building Materials
Good building materials find a second use, keeping them out of the landfill

Deconstruction Services
Our deconstruction team carefully removes materials from structures to be brought back to the warehouse to be sold. Again, keeping usable materials out of the landfill.

Building the Economy
Deconstruction projects put dollars back into the economy through payrolls, support services, contracts and equipment rentals.

EcoStores Nebraska has put over $130,000 a year back into the economy through deconstruction projects.
