The 6-panel rivet-connected Warren thru truss span on ashlar abutments is composed solely of angles, and is an early example of both the truss type and method of fabrication. The floor beams and stringers are replacement, and the bearings have been reinforced, but the truss itself is unaltered. The bridge is important in chronicling the evolution of metal truss bridge technology in the region. Its fabricator, New Jersey Steel & Iron Co. of Trenton was a major bridge builder.
The bridge has been demolished.
