The Roosevelt 2.0
概览
The Roosevelt 2.0 is a 5,600 sq.ft. historic building located in Ybor City FL that derives its namesake from the fact that it was once used as a horse stable for Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders Cavalry. It's mission is to provide infrastructure for education and creative business incubation through a fully financially transparent open collaborative business model.
The first phase – a $ 250,000 renovation from condemned building with zero infrastructure to cutting edge operational venue - is completed. This was accomplished with extremely limited financial resources through a like-kind exchange business model. The building showcases the latest in cost effective sustainable technologies and is in the process of going completely off the grid.
The space serves as infrastructure to host educational events and as a business brain center for collaborative social enterprise. The Roosevelt 2.0 is one of the founding projects of the Campus TV social enterprise web concept applied to a local real estate asset. The entire journey has been – and continues to be – filmed from the very beginning as proof of concept of this new business paradigm. The story demonstrates the transformation of the building in one of the worst economic climates in the past 100 years, in the industry hit hardest (real estate development,) in one of the worst regions for that industry (central Florida) – and all this initialized with zero financial resources.
