In August 2007, OEM's headquarters achieved a L.E.E.D Silver certification. Some of OEM's sustainable features include a roof surfaced with light, colored material from recycled content to reduce heat island effect, columns and floors that were constructed from reused material, use of low-emitting materials in the building, including the paint, furniture, adhesives, carpet and a water recycling system that uses 33% less water than a conventional building. With such features OEM headquarters received a total of 34 points toward USBC certification.
