The Durban Bay is the ninth largest port in the world and the busiest in Africa. The harbour cruises offer good birding, particularly along the sand banks and swamps of the mangroves. Several boat charters based at the Durban Marina also offer dolphin and whale watching cruises along the Durban coastline, as well as deep sea fishing trips. The Durban Bay is also used for private non-motorised boating such as kayaking and sailing, and motorised boating, such as fishing boats.

Driving Directions: Travel on the N3 east into the Durban CBD. At the first intersection turn right into Dr Yusaf Dadoo Street. Turn left into Margaret Mncadi Avenue (Victoria Embankment) at the
T-junction. Turn right at the following traffic lights into Maritime Place. After crossing the railway, turn right at the traffic circle and travel on this road to Wilson's Wharf.
