Noch keine Bewertungen vorhanden

The Mission of the Solid Waste Management Division is to manage the solid waste of Tompkins County in a manner that is environmentally sound, cost-effective, socially responsible and safe. This is accomplished through coordinated administrative, operational, and educational projects in waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting and disposal.
Tours take place at the Recycling and Solid Waste Center (RSWC) at 160 Commercial Ave in Ithaca.

Tours of the RSWC offer students an opportunity to learn about the importance of recycling, in addition to what is recyclable, how it is recycled, and what it will become.

Tours include: Observation Deck Tour

A one-hour presentation about the 4R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rebuy),
A tour of the Recycling and Solid Waste Center,
And if requested, a 20-minute, hands on craft that directly applies the concepts exhibited through the 4Rs.
