Mitchell House (44 Pleasant Avenue)
Overview
This historic craftsman style house, built in 1906, is listed on the state register of historic places.
The allusions of classical detail around the entrance prevent this from being a typical craftsman
house. It was designed for H. L. Delano by the important Montclair architect, Dudley S. Van
Antwerp. Residence and its impressive gardens featured on a full page in “Montclair In Pictures”,
a supplement published by The Montclair Times in 1922.
