The Siyakhana Permaculture Food Garden is the flagship garden of the Siyakhana Initiative for Ecological Health and Food Security. It is a permaculture food garden that grows organic vegetables and herbs that are distributed to inner city ECDCs and vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS. It is also a site for training, advocacy and research in all matters "green", especially focusing on issues of nutrition, food security and public health research. The garden showcases many "green" initiatives, such as ecological structures, composting toilets and grey water recycling methods.
