The Monona Bay bike path is an offshoot of the John Nolen Bike Path and connects to the Southwest Commuter trail right after the Row House. The Southwest Commuter trail is fantastic as it cuts through campus, past the UW stadium and through many beautiful neighborhoods. At the end, it crosses over Hwy 12/14 (beltline) and then on through another neighborhood and connects to the Capitol City Trails and the Military Ridge trail that extends to Dodgeville, WI (45 miles approximately).
