Dockery Lake, a 6-acre lake located in the northern portion of Lumpkin County, is an eco-friendly recreational area located right inside the Chattahoochee National Forest. During trout season, the lake is stocked with trout and offers a public fishing area free of charge. Boats are allowed to be placed on the lake if they have an electric motor or require paddling, but no gas engines are allowed. No boat docks are at the site. Situated on a small tributary known as Waters Creek, Dockery Lake is a man-made lake with eleven campsites situated relatively close to the shore, five near the shore and six of them overlooking the lake. These campsites do not feature electrical services, showers or RV water hookups, but do offer areas for campfires, picnicking and fresh running water. There is an $8 grounds fee for overnight camping, but the camping offers a great experience. Restrooms are located on the premises and low-flow bathroom utilities are included, with the exception of shower areas. There are also areas for proper garbage disposal. Behind Dockery Lake is a nature trail that offers a spectacular view of the foothills of the Appalachians. The trail is approximately 3.7 miles (6.0 km) in length one way. The nature trail is also approximately 3.25 miles away from the start of the Appalachian Trail on Woody Gap.

I love Dockery Lake, but this isn't where it's located at! It should be well up into the mountains off of US 60.

It is off of US 60... Definitely not at Chestatee Regional Hospital... Go towards Suches from here and look to your right as you start to peak the mountain.
