History of this Location

This colonial style pousada is very comfortable and at a location close to Paraty's Historical Center. It has also been in business for 40 years. The owner built the pousada and over the years, has added additions to the location. They also serve breakfast daily, including coffee, fruit, eggs and bread.

Sustainable Features

José Cláudio Araújo lives locally and was the former mayor of Paraty. José helped Paraty in many ways as the Mayor and continues to do so. He helps with the marketing and logistics of local events. He has been in local tourist magazines and has received awards four times. In addition, he has an organic farm that supplies his business with foods to be served to the guests in his pousada. At this location, they separate waste and filter the water. They also use florescent lighting.
