An open expanse with paths to enjoy a brisk walk. The common is dominated by marsh and marshy grassland, which encompasses a number of Biodiversity Action Plan priority habitats and species. Look out for birds such as skylarks and meadow pippits. Rare plants such as bog asphodel, round-leaved sundew, lousewort and southern marsh orchids are present here. It is a SINC (Site of Importance for Nature Conservation).
