Yard Waste Compost pile
Übersicht
From City of New Port Richey website:
Yard Debris
Where does all the yard waste go once it is picked up? The yard debris is disposed of at city-owned and operated mulching facilities. The debris is ground up and piled into 15' to 20' rows. The mounds are turned weekly and sprayed with water to encourage decomposition. The resulting heat that is generated internally during this process eliminates any weed seeds remaining. The final product is transported to the pick-up site on Pine Hill Road adjacent to the Recycling Facility. This recycled mulch is available free to city residents 24 hours a day.
