92nd street and Church Lane
Brooklyn
Unmarked Indian Burial Ground
Overview
This empty lot is actually an Indian burial ground. It is possible that the last known Canarsie Indian is buried here. He died in the 1830s. The site is owned by New York City. There is no sign indicated that this is a burial ground. There is just a chain link fence and a sign that it is city property.
