Green Depot is a leading supplier of environmentally friendly and sustainable building products, services and home solutions.Their primary goal is to facilitate green living and building in communities so that it is easy, affordable and gratifying. It sells green building supplies to homeowners, contractors and L.E.E.D builders, with an emphasis on non-toxic, sustainable, FSC-certified, and environmentally friendly products and materials. This Depot is one of Green Depot’s 10 warehouse locations across the east coast. On a side note, the Depot— located at 222 Bowery in Manhattan is New York State’s first L.E.E.D Platinum rating for a retail store. The building once held New York City’s first YMCA. Along with the original restored features the building accumulated L.E.E.D points with their indoor air quality, low VOC finishes, a high efficiency air handler and custom LED light fixtures among other great green building techniques.
